I knew as soon as I set foot in this apartment that we were meant to be! With high ceilings, great light and massive closets this tiny studio felt anything but tiny. I knew it would be a challenge, and two years in I still play an occasional game of furniture jenga, but with determination and a whole lot of organization this space became my home.
Three of My Best Tips and Tricks for Creating a Successful Small Space::
1 - NEUTRALS. It's no myth that light neutral colors make your space feel larger. By keeping things simple and having an oversized mirror in the middle of my apartment, it feels light, airy and open.
2 - IF IT DOESN'T MAKE YOU SMILE, IT'S GOTTA GO. Everything around me has a clear function or improves my life in some way. From the miniature coke bottle on my shelf to my couch which is the perfect size and squishy-ness for my liking.
3 - EVERYTHING HAS A PLACE. Something as little as leaving a coat on the couch or a pair of socks on the floor makes my space feel cluttered. I'm a little bit of a nut when it comes to putting things away. As soon as I come home after a long day at work (or a long night out, no exceptions) my keys go on a hook, my bag goes in the closet, and all of my clothes are put away.
