Square Feet:
What I Love About My Small Home:
Everything! I love the light -- I look out onto lovely gardens and roof decks (of which I am envious), the location -- I am a half block from Prospect Park in central Park Slope, and the details -- the apartment just has so much character.

I really wanted a space that felt like a home, that felt lived-in, and comfortable. I walked into this apartment and I knew it would be awesome. It has the feel of a little Parisian garret apartment with high ceilings, white walls, and lots of little quirks.
Biggest Challenge of Living in a Small Space:
The challenge for me was creating separate spaces, so I could go to bed at night and not be able to see the living room or the kitchen. I also tried to be ship-like about it. My sofa becomes a twin bed, my table doubles in size -- I've flipped it longwise and had an eight person dinner party -- and my bookshelf also operates as a night table. I actually had a lot of fun designing it. Working with a small space makes you a lot more consicous about what you bring into it, and so I find I'm really only surrounded by objects that I love.
