Location: Valley Village/Studio City, California
I'm a mom and a garden, product and exterior designer. We live in a house made for outdoor living — a single mom with 2 boys, 16 and 18. Everyone hangs out here, and it all happens in the back yard, all year round.
It is a really cool space that is always growing. It is "progress not perfection", but it is Eden. All the parents want to know why 16 and 18 year olds always want to hang out at our house — in fact, lots of the kids have asked their parents to hire me — LOVE THAT. :) It is all about a feeling. I have a line of outdoor "turf" products that are forever green and "life like" year round as well.

This is so gorgeous! I'm in Texas, and I really need a ceiling fan (or two or three) on my porch. :)
Cakowalik, ceiling fans on the porch are a GREAT idea. My parents have them in Phoenix and it makes the outdoor space useable at all but the hottest time of day.

Same here.
My family and I are actually talking relocating for this very reason. Living in the North East means not a lot of outdoor living time. Plenty to do all seasons up here, but too cold to have this type of living space. To have a space like this would be heaven!!!!
