- What do you love about your bedroom?:
- Our bedroom feels calm and serene. Although the tiny windows make it a bit difficult to decorate, I like the uniqueness that they add to the room. The thing I love most about our bedroom is our bed! I love the cozy blankets and the sweater pillows I made for wintertime. It's a comforting place to be at the end of a long day.
- What are your tips for creating a beautiful, healthy and organized bedroom?
- We have a small bedroom. No walk in closets here. We wear everything in our closets and don't have a lot of extra stuff. We don't have a television in our bedroom and that helps to make this a quiet space.
- In modern homes, bedrooms have become more than just a place to sleep; they can be a retreat, a home office, a library, a relaxation zone. What are some ways you make the most of your bedroom?
- We make the most of our bedroom by trying to keep it neat and clean. (My husband is better at keeping it neat than I am.) It's definitely the relaxation zone in our house.

Your bed is so lovely!
I think you did a great job with weird windows. I especially love the rail under those above the bed.
Love it, all of it
OMG i need that cabled throw blanket! I wonder where she got it!
Also, I kinda love those windows, they're so unique. I bet they'd look great framed out individually with some plantation shutters.
I saw those blankets at jc penny today. They had few color choices and a bit pricey.
Btw nice room.
You're getting a vote for what you did with those windows and how well they balance the mid-century-style closet doors.
Very cozy. Where did you get that bed?
Those windows are fantastic! I also love how your wardrobe tucks in so perfectly. Its a very lovely room.
I saw the lead picture while scrolling the main page and thought: That's cool they didn't cover up all those windows with one big curtain or "art". The more I looked the more I realized those shades are very nice looking. Major kudos to you, Alicia, you handled a quirky feature like a Boss.
Love the bedside table - that is EXACTLY what I've been looking for. Tell me it was recently acquired and available at a store near me?
I love the bedside table and that chair! Where did you get it?
Thanks for all of the comments! The blanket was made by a family member. We bought our bedroom furniture at a regional furniture store called Wolf Furniture. I bought the bedside tables at a local Salvation Army, painted them white and added some new hardware. I'm sure you could find some similar tables at your local store if you are patient. The chair came from TJ Maxx.
Thanks for the info about the bed. And bummer, I'm in Seattle. I'd love that bed, especially since it has drawers built in.
