I've known the paint color that Dad has wanted to paint his room since the beginning (pale grey), but debates on how to fill this pale grey room are ongoing. On the one hand, there's grey+brown, on the other hand... well, click through for option number two, and info on our strange (but needed) Style Cure project.

The other option is a more graphic, modern looking room. What do you think? The plusses of option 1 is that it will meld well with Dad's photograph of his Grandpa, which he would like to keep. The benefits of option 2 is that we can easily incorporate Dad's love of shapes, and the overall effect will be a little sunnier than option 1.

And onto our project. I should begin by mentioning: thank you all for your concerns about my Dad's snoring. No, he doesn't have sleep apnea. But he does have, should I say, a particular penchant for eating whole packets of cookies?

So, the project for Dad's room is... Dad! Between now and the end of the Style Cure, Dad and I are going for walks and Dad is on a diet of strictly no chocolate. Because honestly, what could be more stylish for Dad's stylish man cave than a stylish Dad?

Here's Dad, walking alongside the Sydney Harbor Bridge. We started by training for a 17.5 kilometer walk (11 miles) around Sydney Harbor, which we did last weekend. Pretty good, I have to say, for a Grandpa in his 60s. With just a few weeks of walking, I'm proud to say Dad's already lost a few pounds. Who knows where he'll be at by the end? Perhaps he won't need his own snore space after all!
