When we used to refer to quilting, we'd think of our aunts or grandmothers that would sew dainty patterns and overly decorated textiles together for babies to pass along to their future children. The sentiment is still there, but her whole design approach is entirely 21st Century.
Alissa started a modern quilting guild that now has affiliate groups all over state and has published a 1 book. I can imagine that creating detailed handmade quilts could be very inspiring in such a bright and cheerful room. Her sewing machine, needles, and all her fabrics organized by color — each take up important corners of the room. She takes full advantage of all the tall walls for inspiration boards and for laying out patterns. It's quite serene and peaceful yet cheerful and fun!
