Name: Alissa
Location: Athens, Georgia
Our house was built circa 1900. When we moved in 6 years ago, there were no kitchen cabinets. We finally renovated the kitchen last August. We also took our non-working fireplace — that opens to both bedrooms — and turned it into a working gas one with glass rocks instead of logs.
I love to put dissimilar objects together — our Asian style bed frame with shabby chic chandeliers, for example, or a huge blue ceramic bull's head in our baby's room. The house is a mishmash of objects and furniture we've collected over the past 10 years we've been together. Some are from flea markets, some from CB2, some from higher-end art dealers. We like it and everyone that comes over wants me to decorate their house!
Thanks Alissa!

White Enamel Four-P...
hmmm
I'd bet that the dining table also works well as a desk--clever arrangement.
Where did you get that bed?!?!?
Hey, apartmentzombie--it looks like one that used to be available at Anthropologie, although I just checked their website and didn't see it there.
I love it! Would have loved to see photos of the fireplace too. Did I miss it?
I really think I'd have liked to see a house tour of this one....
I love that bed, too.
Plus, the dining table-desk does triple duty as a sofa table. Stationary multipurposing helps even small homes feel more spacious. Very clever, and goodlooking!
That master bedroom is GOR-geous!
this is beautiful and definitely warrants a full house tour!
you did all those cabinets yourselves? quite impressive. i had friends that lived in the older parts of athens -- definitely a labor of love. very colorful neighbors though.
house tour please!
LOVE the bed! where is it from?
