If the idea of icing a cake gives you the heebie jeebies and you're not into paying big bucks to have a custom cake made, try taking a little inspiration from this train table. Instead of cake, this setup hauls cupcakes right down the middle of the table.

Over at Little Shindigs they were having a blast with this train themed table. Although there's no tutorial to guide you through making your own, we're pretty sure you can dissect their creativity.

The steam stack is a terra cotta planter filled with poly-fill to create the steam. The base are made from metal storage boxes and the headlight is a spool of ribbon. The whole look is pulled together with a little construction paper that personalizes things and we think it's an all-around awesome idea.
