Sounds almost impossible, like the riddle black and white and red all over
, right? Well, I recently noticed that I was attracted to rooms that have a rustic touch but are otherwise all white
. Turns out a little something rustic is a perfect complement to stark white. Take a look to see what I mean:
The kitchen above has elements that are as quaint as an old farmhouse yet as sleek as a penthouse. The bathroom has gorgeous white fixtures that are offset against a no-nonsense concrete block wall. Yet another kitchen combines all white with an old wooden island.
The combo works, I think, because it takes the appeal of all white and makes it livable by allowing for some imperfection. What do you think?
