We live in Hyde Park and I have owned the 2 BR for two years. We got everything except the fridge and the floor tiles, and the countertops at IKEA.
The first 5 photos show off a few shots of the finished kitchen - the bottom three show how far they had to come. So much work, but such a great result - inspiring to those of us who have been holding off on (much more accessible!) projects.
Thanks, Allison!

Commercial Flour Sa...
This is the look I'm aiming for. For my own kitchen. :)
Do you have a link/website that tells the story of the reno, listing the step-by-step, by any chance? And do you mind letting us know the cost of the reno?
I like it, Allison. Nice mix of feng shui elements and shapes and the map on the wall is something I am always partial to as I use maps in my mixed media art. Thanks for sharing and I'd be interested in a step by step also.
It looks pretty - perhaps despite the fact that only the mix-master and the map are not from IKEA.
thanks for sharing. can you say more about the countertops, too?
Very nice. Where did you find the map hanging on the wall?
I think that is Nexus yellow-brown. I am considering those cabinets right now but can't decide if white/black countertop would look best. You are making a strong case for going light!
Framtid Microwave and Slide-Range, Akurum/Nexus Yellow Brown, Gilbert Chairs, and Docksta Table, well my friend, from an IKEA kitchen planner to a customer, I am very proud to see how well it all turned out! Fantastic job!

Great job and it looks like you have a ton of storage, too!
Thanks for sharing.
This is an awesome kitchen! I especially love the map. :)
i like how the sink is seamless with the countertop. really nice
Here is a link with a few more pictures... and the backstory. The map was found in a basement 7 years ago by my husband. The countertops are corian (but we ordered the counters through IKEA!)
