Random question... why the recycled posts? I feel like I've been seeing them an awful lot.

It's too unique for mass production. Something like this should be one-of-a-kind (or even say 100-of-a-kind), otherwise it ends up (as already said on this earlier post) like the apothecary table episode of Friends.

Maybe okay for a kid's room or a family den. A rich family.

I really hate things that are fake other-things. (For the reason ridge_van_winkle gave above.)

I like it but definitely not for that price - besides - wouldn't this be a fairly easy diy project?

The beauty of something like this is largely in the creative process of the person who took the time to collect the letters and arrange them. When it's mass-produced, it loses that authenticity which IMO defeats the purpose.

it just doesn't look as fun or free-spirited as i feel it could - more vibrant and varied. maybe it's just the other furnishings not helping.

i'm sure there are people out there with real letterpress tables that look great. this one is an overpriced, mass produced and pretty lame looking one.

if you really want this, i'd wait a few months and it'll probably be on their website for half price.

So they just scored one piece of wood to make look like a group of blocks? Cheap!

lame...and when the letterpress trend fades...it will be even worse, if that's possible.

Trust me, I'm a die hard typography nut, but this table is rather ugly. It feels incredibly heavy, busy, and the muddy red/maroon/black colors aren't very appealing.

This table would be a good addition to those people who own that silly Keep Calm poster!

C and B version - nope.
DIY version inspired by Printer's Row Book Fair pic - has potential. Although letterpress blocks were SUCH a strong trend 7 years ago it's still hard to pull off today without people remembering the trend - not that there is anything wrong with that ;-)

It just looks so dumb... the fake, glossy letterpress blocks and, as described above, has that "vintage crackled finish" paint. Yuck! Clearance item for sure!

this makes me sad. mass-producing uniqueness and selling it for so much is bunk.

I have friends who were making these tables out of the real thing back in the 70's. Did not really like them then and still do not.

I just saw this table in person. There is a glass top covering all the old fashioned looking letter and number press blocks. It looked great!

Should be a LOT cheaper. This is something I could see in a coffeeshop or bookstore...not really for a home. The fact that the blocks aren't separate, while not really a crime, somehow makes it feel like a lie.
