Alphabet Trucks by Samantha R. Vamos, illustrated by Ryan O'Rourke

Children's Book Review

A dump truck offloading a bunch of D's and an apple truck being filled with boxes of A's are just two of the twenty-six clever ways that Samantha R. Vamos and Ryan O'Rourke tie together the world of trucks with the letters of the alphabet. Whether they are hauling, transporting or just putting in a day's work, the Alphabet Trucks make it fun and educational.

Lest you think children will be the only ones who learn a little something from this book, I am willing to bet that there are quite a few trucks you will have never heard of. A quint truck, perhaps, or maybe a knuckle-boom? Whatever the case, the enjoyable verse and quirky, uplifting illustrations will keep kids turning pages from A to Z.
