If your apartment building has a doorman, you probably give him a special holiday tip. But what about a live-in superintendent you rarely ever call on? Or your neighbor who works from home and has accepted a couple of deliveries for you over the course of the year? Of course you wouldn't tip them - they're your neighbors.

But how do you express your thanks come holiday time? Homemade cookies? A note or a card? A plant? Let us know how you show your appreciation to those who have helped you in the last year, but for whom a tip does not seem appropriate.
