A string of silver beads hang from our dining room's chandelier.
Hanging bulbs make it whimsical.
On the table, vases are filled with balls. Some hang from our jewelry tree. Try curly willow or branches painted black and stuck in a slender vase or bottle for contrast in shapes. Invoke the rule of three (cluster three objects together) for your displays.
Lazy Holiday replaces the photos that normally hang here. Turned on they add atmosphere.
They're holiday lights still in their old school packaging. Just Bulbs on Beverly Boulevard and Sweetzer are a local resource if you can't find them at your corner drugstore. They're the most expensive thing we bought but we can use them again and again)
Extra balls strung together on a ribbon hang on the front door. The bow's from our Container Store lesson.
Three round glass vases are filled and stacked. A tree topper finishes off our version of a tree.
Tomorrow night, ATLA's coming to our home for the holidays. Talk about a high pressure situation! (Our camera battery's up for a recharge so excuse the down and dirty IPhone pix.) Here's what we came up with...

ugh, the first pic. no thanks. looks like you're trying to play jenga with glass and bulbs. IMO look like a pile of crap.
the lights in the packaging looks interesting, but that's as far as it gets...
I like these ideas- i love ornaments but have no place to display them in my "Hanukkah home". the silver and blue would be a great accent!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE your glass bowl "tree."
The front door looks great too. I also like the arrangement on the table but think the big chunky vases are a bit out of step with the delicate black tree.
The lights on the wall with the wires hanging down all sloppy are just plain fug. Take those down before your colleagues arrive.
we went with a teeny tiny tree this year and it was really fun trying to find places to use (almost) all of our ornaments. my favorite is the light-up tree topper sitting on a shelf in the built-in bookcase. we are lucky enough to have a built-in, WITH an electrical outlet. check it out if you'd like...

Sorry. Most of these look really tacky to me. Especially the first one and the "lazy" one. :P
I like most of these, particularly the ornament tree. But nothing about the "lazy" lights says "Christmas" to me, or even "festive" or "pretty."
You went to a container store for a decorating lesson and then posted it? Sounds desperate.
Looks great, I like your all silver color scheme. I'm not sold on those "lazy" lights though...
