We've always admired the vintage look of the canned tomatoes we buy, and this is a great idea of how to reuse the cans before tossing them in the recycling bin...
For Everyday with Rachael Ray, Matt and TedlLee created this centerpiece idea. They also wrote Lee Bros. Southern Cookbook and are famous for their fresh take on American classics. All you need are cans with a retro design, and once you've emptied them and rinsed, fill them with bouquets of fresh flowers.

Shaw's Original Fir...
I love this!!
Off to find cans...
Love it! Olive oil cans can be quite lovely as well.
Nice, but those are "tin" (actually steel) cans - not aluminum. It's easy to tell the difference with a magnet from your refrigerator: the magnet will stick to steel but not aluminum.
Keep that in mind when you're sorting your recyclables.
