Obama may have touted a national caulking program to reduce heating bills, but maybe he should have talked to the Russians first. After all, didn't we recently have some spies in custody that could have spilled their national secrets to living in colder climates? We could have discovered Russia's tin foil effect much, much sooner!
This particular space was featured on English Russia, and while there's not much info on why this dude decided to wrap his entire home -- bed and chairs included -- in foil, we can only assume it either has to do with keeping the aliens out of his brain or it's his DIY attempt to stay warm in a Siberia-like setting.
What do you think?

I dig it.
Insane. Insanely hip.
it's used to keep the radiation out of his home (located in Chernobyl, of course!)
@Barry1, do you know that for sure or are you guessing? If for sure would love to read where you found this out. I'm fascinated with this guy's lifestyle!
@soniaz, @Barry1 is joking. First of all, Chernobyl is in Ukraine. Second, the radiation is coming from *inside* the house. Look at the CRT monitor and the infrared space heater.
Like the source article jokes, this guy is just a little bent and took the tin foil hat routine one step further.
