Since I recently bought a 1919 farmhouse, and I am currently in the concept stage of a new kitchen design, I have made my kitchen inspiration board a little less 'dream' and a little more 'possible'.
My kitchen has black and white tiled floors that I want to keep and work around. Here I wrote a recent post about using them as inspiration. I am going for an updated industrial farmhouse look for the home's decor and here is how I am currently seeing that translated in kitchen terms (with a little "dream" thrown in for good measure).
1. Brass Spring Pull Industrial Brass Faucet by Premier.
2. Glass Jar Pendants from West Elm.
3. A Palermo Blue Farmhouse Sink by Kohler.
4. Knicker Dining Chair from Blu Dot.
5. Pipedream Reclaimed Pine Table by Vermont Farm Table.
6. Tolix Marais A Chair from Design Within Reach.
7. Black and White Checkered Tile (already in home).
8. White Penny Round Tile Backsplash from The Tile Connection.

That sink is absolutely dreamy.
$1700 sink is possible?!
I, too, love the color of the sink, but would never do the drain in white.
The faucet finish, however, is not correct for a farmhouse kitchen. That "oil-rubbed bronze" finish always looks fake to me anyway. A real old farmhouse would likely have a chrome, living brass, or possibly copper fixture. I get that you aren't going for authenticity, but color counts.
I dig it, especially with the pop of color from that farmhouse sink. Hopefully you can keep us updated on your kitchen reno and how it turns out!
I never knew I had a sink of my dreams. Hello love.
Very cool.
That sink is beautiful. As are the lights. I love this look. My partner and I are striving toward this one day at a time! I just bought a "farmhouse" sink from MR Direct for a LOT less than that sink and it is just as beautiful, just not that gorgeous color. Great inspiration board!
I adore that sink, absolutely adore it, and yet I find that my pre-conceived notions about cleanliness mean white or stainless for me. Why? Heaven knows, and I'll probably spend the rest of my life trying to figure it out, but I'll do it in a hammock in Tahiti with all the money I'll save by buying white. *g*
Oh, my God, that sink!
Alysha love the sink and lights, not sure about the table and chairs, will have to see them to get the full effect. Can't wait to help you next month!!!
ooooo....that sink is fabulous. Maybe Alysha needs to come to my garage sale to nab my 50's Vintage Aqua MixMaster Mixer. Mrs. Meyers and I will be right over to do a bunch of dishes....Lemon-Verbena perhaps? very very nice.
