Amadana hasn't been around for that long, since 2002 to be exact, but they definitely have design in their DNA. Everyday objects like cordless phones, iPod docks and electric juicers have received the minimalist japanese treatment...and now the lowly humidifier.
While Plus Minus Zero and Blomus have their own stylish humidifiers, when it comes to effectiveness we have heard "dripping mess" and "doggie water trough" to describe them. Makes you go hmmm doesn't it? While we haven't used the Amadana humidifer, at 24150 yen ($270 US) it sits between the more expensive Plus Minus Zero and much cheaper Blomus. If the camera lens styling suits you, then it is another alternative to the more traditional plastic humidifiers. And just in case you were thinking about using it as a drum, or yoyo, don't. The caution sticker says so.
