I'm in love with Amanda Nisbet's Designs. She's a genius at mixing comfortable furniture with a luxurious sensibility. Her work is flawless and inspiring.
In an interview with House Beautiful Magazine Amanda Nisbet said, "I pride myself on never doing the same thing twice. The joy of this job, actually, is the variety of the challenge and just doing the best I can do with all of the givens. I'm about emotion: I'm not a mathematician at all. I don't know how to do formulas. Some designers do." Although Nisbet's designs are always innovative, she consistently applies a few design techniques that have become her trademark. Below is a list of design elements frequently used by Nisbet.
• Punchy cheerful color in unusual combinations
• Gourd lamps
• Transparent acrylic furniture, often with upholstering details
• Plush velvet seating
• Thick curtains that make a color statement
• Framed graphic art as wall centerpiece
• Shiny stone coffee tables
• Upholstered headboards
• Simple bedding with bright colored trim
• Subtly gorgeous traditional light fixtures with a twist
• Graphic print pillows

Not that it's within my grasp - but any sources for the gorgeous Long Island print? Lusting.
zomg! that chartreuse chair! i think i'm in love!
is that a tribble??
Beautiful I love how fun and grown up everything looks! Beautiful use of colors and prints....
Nice!
Yeah, she does a great job with color and scale. Everything looks a little too perfect for me, though...not that I'd complain if she came in and redid my house.
I'm not a huge fan of the way the couches are styled - they don't look very inviting. The colors, though? GORGEOUS!!
Great colors; great textures, excellent details! Not a fan of her choices in upholstered furniture though, and it's turning me off of the overall design because they constitute the anchor pieces in every room.
I like that the colors are bright enough to pop out but not so bright and saturated that they compete with one another. All the colors seem to mix well.
Simply delightful!
I thought, here we go ... "Swoon-Worthy" is big billing. But here I am, swooning away.
I love the color choices. But the chalkboard mirror? Brilliant, if not very practical!
Anyone have any information about the artist of the sheep painting in pic #8?
i'd love to know who the artist of that adorable sheep painting is as well!
Nice to see someone who likes color! I like the blue bathroom with the chalkboard mirror, too cute.
Lovely colors. Great that there are people who are willing to try something this bright. Many of the carpets are very large area rugs. Usually living rooms are done with area rugs and bedroom with wall to wall carpeting.
