My apartment is all about making do, doing it yourself, and doing it on the cheap. I've worked hard to make the place a reflection of my personality without too much regard to trends — though I'm not immune to popular tastes! Very little of what you see was purchased new, nearly everything is thrifted or homemade.
Thanks Amanda!

Nomade Express Slee...
Love the yellow and white dining room. The rest is a bit cluttered for my taste.
What a cool place, my only complaint is that why is this only a House Call?
Love love LOVE the grey bathroom. Stunning!
Absolutely beautiful. I don't see any clutter! I agree with sarrazak, would like to see more.
Love the rug. Was the coffee table a DIY project?
Not really seeing clutter.
Your bathroom is awesome - it's like what I've been trying to do, only better. Thank you for the inspiration!
A+ I like the shelf for plants in the bathroom.
Where did you get your rugs from? I really want a large area rug for a VERY affordable price. I love yours! Oh and your whole home is lovely!
Love it, its so cheery with the white, lots of light and colorful accents. Looks quaint but modern at the same time. Would love to see & read more.
What's up with all the ebayish spam comments nowadays? Hope the moderator catches that.
What a nice, unpretentious place!! What is the paint color in the bathroom? Thanks!
We have the. same. tastes.
I really like your approach to decoration and have a lot of respect for people who are resourceful (DIY and thrift). I love your kitchen and bathroom.
love everything, especially the skeleton print!
I love this shelf above her dresser with all of the white porcelain objects on it. Also, love that Ork poster of Boston! I have the same one in my bathroom.
I love the plant shelf, the white ceramics and all the non-cliche vintage accents. Now I will dream of the day that I too will have a bright yellow kitchen.
I love your apartment, can I come visit? No really, the yellow walls are amazing and I love the flor rug.
I knew you lived in Boston as soon as I saw that brown floral pillow! Did you find it at Sunshine Lucy's?
I really like your space. It looks like a really neat (as in cool) person lives here.
I, too, love the bathroom -particularly the wooden trim under the light and the chair rail. Btw, how high is the chair rail? Did you put that in yourself? I would love to know the specifics of that (what size boards you used and how you installed it).
That is my yellow in my happy kitchen!...I love your taste and style, especially your living room!
LOVE IT! Where oh where did you get that shower curtain?
amanda - can you please source the yellow wall color? i've been searching for a yellow for my bedroom wall and the one you have here in amazing.
please let me know, this is my weekend project =)
Ditto on the paint colors, I love the blue you have in the bedroom, what is it?
Love the yellow in the kitchen. I'm thinking of painting my kitchen yellow. Can you please share the brand and color?
I am totally in league with all those who love that yellow in the dining room! Please share the details of that fabulous colour!!
i'd love to see more.
Love this place. Great job on the yellow. I'm not usually a fan of yellow, but perfect color choice.
Overall I like everything, but I do think the living room seems cluttery. And I think the reason it feels that way to me is that your artwork and accessories are too evenly distributed, not leaving any bare wall or other empty spaces to "rest the eye."
The solution might be some simple editing. For instance, I think I'd remove the art over the TV (both pieces) and either put them in another room or else maybe make them a grouping with the piece over the sofa (all three need to be arranged together if so.)
I would also group all three plants in one window and remove the extra little table, leaving one window free of obstacles.
That might be enough.
love it also. also would like a house tour. kudos to you for thrifting/diy!
Sweet & lovely! Would love to see a full house tour!
Very very very nice. Just the right balance of clean and cluttered.
I love Amanda's space! Her blog inspires me to keep my home fun :)
Love the yellow, love the living room(although it's totally not my style), and LOVE that gorgeous bathroom!
This is cluttered? Maybe compared to some of the showroom-like spaces often featured on here, but I think it's pretty organized and cohesive for a place someone actually lives in.
ooh..more, more!!
I would also love to see a tour. :)
Nice! I have a very similar coffee table/bench that I made with a slab of wood and hairpin legs from www.hairpinlegs.com . Looks like she made it with an IKEA top and ebay legs:

Hi Everyone! I was busy, then sick for a few days and didn't notice my apt was posted!
I'll try to answer all the questions. My shower curtains are from Ikea, I made the coffee table, the LR rug is Fez from Flor (I cut it into triangles), I made the plant shelves and the floral pillow I made from fabric samples from work. Most of my projects are detailed on my blog.
I will have to try to find the paint colors when I get home, some of them were done by the landlord.
Thank you for the lovely comments! It does look a bit cluttered in these pics, but not as much in real life. I'd never call myself a minimalist though, ha ha.
-Amanda
The bathroom color is "Quill" from Olympic paint at Lowe's.
It's lovely.
Lovely and cosy!!
I love the mixture of finished woods with painted wood, and the odd painted steel piece thrown in.
And I love the bright surprise, in the very white bathroom, of the green glass knob on the medicine cabinet.
(And that's not clutter - that's a very nicely kempt place in which someone actually lives.)
Oh, please ignore the "clutter police". Who wants to live in a catalog layout or hotel room? This is a lovely-- and very tidy --home full of interesting bits and pieces. I like the way that bright walls with white trim unify disparate elements. And, like gorfram, I am also a big fan of the green glass pull.
