Amanda's Mid-Century Media Room

A few weeks ago, Amanda shared her lovely home in Ohio with us, along with a thorough walkthrough of her adventurous TV mounting project that would eventually marry her love for tech and her excellent eye for design. However, when it came down to function to Feng Shui, we decided with the later - breaking away from having her TV as the focal point in her home, while still maintaining the focus of a media room...

This is a shot of what she had set up a few weeks back. Notice how everything is at an angle, focused on the TV above the fireplace.

Now, after playing a little bit of Tetris with her furniture, she's broken from the tech-forward central TV focal point and created a brand new space just begging for conversation. We think the new look is great - it's much more refreshing and welcoming than the previous setup since you longer feel "forced" into watching Friends on the big screen, but rather encouraged to relax, hang out, and spark a compliment on how lovely her home is...

Speaking of compliments... Feel free to share your thoughts on Amanda's space below!
