Amelia's room has slowly come together over the last two years with some assistance from my parents, who are based on another continent, but have managed to visit us twice a year since Amelia arrived.
We rent and can't paint the walls so I've tried to fill the room with colour in every other way possible. It is a pretty small room (7'9 feet by 9 feet approximately) which means the IKEA Expedit is used for clothes storage. Hooks on the back of the door and coat hooks are used for dresses and skirts.
My mother made several of the cushion covers, blanket on the end of the bed as well as the curtains and my father dressed up the Expedit drawers and hung pictures on the very awkward, solid walls.

Very cute! Can you share what your father did to the Expedit drawers? Mod-Podge? Wall paper? Paint?
It was good quality wrapping paper, which is stuck on with PVA glue (top and bottom). I just found out about the wonders of Mod-Podge a couple of weeks ago. It should hold up for a while, especially as she's not tall enough to reach those drawers.
