The basic elements of Americana design are nostalgic details combined with a slightly, or not so slightly, rustic feel. But, old European style could be described much in the same way, so what makes Americana distinct? Americana is often a haphazard collection of old objects and antique furniture thrust together without a uniform distribution of things or premeditated composition. It doesn't have to be messy, but it can't be overly calculated or contrived. Americana is like America. There is no right way to get the look. A reverence to history and an appreciation of America is all you need.

Where can I find a good world map poster like the one seen in the first picture?
OK. 5 is the one I want. Ooooooooh.
Where can I find the built-in looking cabinets in the first picture? I've been looking everywhere for those.
I want to live in the green room.
Is that fish head ATTACHED to the ottoman in #4?
I could definitely live in #2 and do like #5.
Me likey any picture with MAPS used as art! :)
#4 looks like a catalog photo, not a real home
