With all the bad news coming out of Detroit, perhaps we shouldn't have been so surprised to read that Little Tikes' Cozy Coupe is the best selling car in America. At a rate of one made a minute, almost half a million were sold in 2008 and ten million since the iconic little car was introduced in 1979. To honor this achievement, guess which museum is adding it to its collection?
Answer: the Crawford Auto-Aviation Museum in Cleveland, Ohio.
Do you own one of the ten million Cozy Coupes? If you're a fan, don't forget about our post on DIY Cozy Coupe makeovers from last year.

OM! I had one as a kid!I loved it so much. It doesn't surprise that it is selling so much.
oh my gosh, my boys got one to share for their birthday and they fight over it so much...i need to get two more, but then our yard will look like a parking lot for cozy coupes. :)
I had one and when our real car died, my dad bolted a real seat belt onto it because I never understood why, since it was a car afterall, it didn't have a seatbelt!
My daughter has a pre-owned one. She loves that thing.
I got one at a thrift store a few years ago, it was beat up, but my boys loved it and my younger son uses it still.
I got married at the Crawford!
SOMEWHERE I saw this coupe "hacked" with black paint and some jazzy details and LOVED it!
I found one of these on the curb with the garbage a few years ago. Because my sister and I loved ours so much as kids, I snatched it up and am storing it until I have a kid of my own that can use it!
I have also seen some ditched on the curb with the trash. I recently bought one. It was the hardest thing I have ever put together. I am usually excited about putting three D puzzles together also known as every toy ever bought. but this one needed some muscles to put together. I love the make overs for these cars btw.
I recently had to buy one off of Craigslist for my 14 month old son....he saw one at another kid's house and I literally had to pry his fingers off of the steering wheel!
We got one for my daughter when she was 18 months old. She loved it, had trouble getting her to go to sleep the day we bought it, she ended up throwing herself out of her cot late in the evening because she wanted to play in it. She's nearly 6 and still plays with it. We even found some names plates that look like miniature car plates. I think we will keep it for a while. One of the best toys we have ever purchased.
