Explain how Amy Butler inspired this entry.:Amy Butler fabrics are so perfect for little girl clothes. They're fresh and colourful and fun. I can never choose just one fabric for a project, so I used 4 for this one.
How did you make your project and what items did you use?:
The skirt is make of panels sewn together, then a band is sewn to the bottom for the hem, and a ribbon is sewn on to hide the seams of the bottom band. The waistband has an elastic though it, for easy fitting. The top, which can be worn as a dress, then a top later on, has a ruffly edge at the bottom for a little flouncy bouncy fun. The arm and neck holes have the same hem fabric bound around them. Sounds like a lot of work, but it wasn't that bad, and it will grow with her for years. I bought the fabric at MacFab on Queen Street in Toronto.
