Starting on September 15, we'll be celebrating the act of creating simple, beautiful sewing projects for children with a special contest inspired by Amy Butler's new book, Little Stitches for Little Ones. We know Ohdeedoh has very talented readers and we're hoping you'll share your projects with us - this is your chance to show off (a little) and be in the running for some lovely prizes....jump below for some early details so you can get your project underway:
We'll be asking you submit photographs of one Amy Butler-inspired sewing project that you have completed for a little one in your life.
Readers will submit:
• 2 digital photos of their sewing project
• An explanation of how Amy Butler’s work inspired them
• A brief how-to that explains how they completed the project
• A resource list detailing where their materials come from
We'll post the photos of the projects on Ohdeedoh for everyone to admire and the winners will be decided by none other than Amy Butler herself.
For some early inspiration, take a peek at Little Stitches for Little Ones right here and then get those sewing machines humming - the 15th will be here before you know it!

Ooh, fun fun. Sewing a contest. My two favorite things.
So by "inspired" do you mean something using her fabric and made in the spirit of Amy Butler projects? Not just completion of one of the ideas from her (fabulous) book, right?
That was supposed to say "sewing and a contest. My two favorite things." Sorry.
pennycarnival,
the project just needs to be inspired by amy's work, it doesn't need to specifically be from the new book.
thanks for asking!
Thanks, Janel. I've got an idea brewing ...
