I've been a fan of Amy Ross' art for many years, but her recent vegetable garden pieces are my favorites. They capture the humble and captivating beauty of plants freshly-pulled from the ground, full of sunshine and life — and her signature collages add the perfect bit of strange magic.
Amy Ross is best known for her Nature Morph, especially the birch, mushroom, and magnolia series. She currently has originals for sale through Jen Bekman Gallery and Kopeikin Gallery, as well as a couple of prints still available at Keep Calm Gallery. I've got my fingers crossed that these new vegetable pieces are for sale someday (especially the chard), and that she continues with this project. The green glow of vegetables deserves to be celebrated. Which veg would you like to have a portrait of on your wall? I'm rooting for kale!
