Some folks make the art of putting together a room look so easy. Take for instance Amy and her hubby's cozy home — right around 900 square feet. While they still have a few items to check off the to-do list (install baseboards, molding and window shades) they're off to a really great start.
Let's first talk about those color combos — bold and welcoming orange, gray-ish blue and navy. It reads sophisticated without being stuffy. Amy's color palette was inspired by the DIY art you see hanging in the living room. Made from found pieces she had collected throughout the years, the piece is perfect for this space. Amy also makes her own fabric and pillows which you can find on Etsy. The paint colors for most are always the trickiest to nail down but Amy & co. do a fine job at getting it just right. Ralph Lauren Sweatshirt Gray (mixed into a Home Depot Behr paint) while the ceiling is a lighter gray — custom made. And we couldn't leave you without pointing out Amy's use of Woolly Pockets vertical wall of plants in the dining area. The green gives a pop of color and pairs well with her vintage camera collection in the built-in bookcase.

Awesome blue!! Love love the arm chairs. Would love to see the finished look. Good luck!
I'm really interested in the faux tray ceiling in the pictures. Did they put that up themselves or was that already there?
What gorgeous rooms. How do other people live with no clutter? Where do they sort their mail? May I move in?
Stunning.
i've always found all-blue rooms make everyone in them look a bit peaked. perhaps it's just me.
