Name: Amy
Location: Mission Dolores — San Francisco, California

Our home is a 2 bedroom rental apartment that my husband and I have lived in for 4+ years. Our home is a work in progress, because I continue to add/change/ rework the space as I find new pieces or inspiration. I work staging houses, and maybe this is why I can never look at our home as "done" - I get ideas from work that I need to bring home.

Our home is small, which requires us to be organized and make the most of the quirky spaces that we have.

Our bedroom is very small, and the shape of the room only allowed for the bed to sit in one place -with a window behind our heads and my side of the bed against the wall. It is the room I have probably struggled with the most, but we have made it comfortable and I've come to love it.

Our living room is oddly shaped as well, with angles we've had to work around as well as a heating unit that juts into the room. We've made the room into a space that not only can showcase our art and objects (including the refrigerator I couldn't live without), but is a place where we can relax and entertain.

For being a small rental apartment, I think we have done a great job making it our own, creating a space that shows how we like to live — comfortably, surrounded by things that make us smile. I hope you enjoy.

Thanks, Amy!
