In January we all tend to look ahead, plot our courses, set goals and get motivated. But we're reminded by Amy that it's important to balance that with charting the progress we've made so far. Amy uploaded photos to the LA Flickr pool of her home, about a year after moving in.
And a lot has happened. They get the floors refinished, picked out paint colors (god knows how difficult that can be!), installed baseboards and added some really important architectural details that add to the bones of the home like molding around the windows and doors. All of that groundwork will last them a long time and contributes the overall health of the house. Plus they moved in with some stylish furniture. (Check out Amy's Etsy Shop for the deer pillow). Of course, the work is never done. Next up are window treatments and refining the layout and furniture.
Check out Amy's Blog FInder's Keepers for even more details and her plans for the coming year.

Love the grey with the rusty orange couch. The floors are really nice as well.
I love the wall color. Can you tell us where you found it?
Slick!
Yay for grey. :)
Randomly, about that coffee table, which does look nice, what are you supposed to store underneath it? Looks like magazines could just slip through if they aren't in a stack, and many books would be too small. Newspapers, then? Or throws/extra cushions? Or is that part supposed to be purely decorative?
The grey is Sweatshirt Gray by Ralph Lauren:)
As for the storage under the table, we put magazines under there all the time and yes, sometimes they fall through. It's a small sacrifice for a awesome table that I got at a great deal!
Wow. The new moldings really makes a fantastic difference. Love your art also.
The hard work certainly paid off nicely. The gray and orange combo is off the hook! The molding is beautiful.
Thats a beautiful floor
