Are you up to speed on your design history of different cultures and eras? If not, then these fun A-Z flashbacks just might be the thing for you.
As I was browsing through Flavorwire the other day I came across the new A-Z Decor Guide they have been posting. They began with 70's decor and then went on to Nordic design. I hope this fun stroll down design decor lane becomes a regular column.

Sprout Side Table
Finn Juhl's house... I'd know it anywhere! Such a divine room.
Fun, thanks!
The room looks great visually but the relationship between the chairs and bench really seems to thwart conversation. It looks like the movie set for some brooding Nordic drama of familial unhappiness.
"It looks like the movie set for some brooding Nordic drama of familial unhappiness."
@PESLTE: Ha! As a child I would always ask my father what the film was about and his response was inevitably "unhappy ________ families." Insert French, Italian, Dutch, Swedish, etc. It's now a running joke in my family, and I actually look forward to movies about unhappy Asian, African, and South American families.
@Pestle: I don't disagree! But the furniture, the painting with the woman in yellow, the rug... SWOOOOON.
"All happy families are alike; every unhappy family is unhappy in its own way [and needs a movie to explain it all]" - paraphrasing, of course
Oh, Verner Panton... *dreamy sigh*
Who's the artist on the woman in the yellow sweater painting? I've seen it somewhere before.
