While washing your fabrics — your bed sheets, furniture upholstery, window coverings and more — is the best way to get them clean, there's a way to keep them smelling nice between washes that won't cost an arm and a leg. An Apartment Therapy reader shared their tip earlier today in a comment.

In the post Make Cleaning Easier: Try This Cleaning Supplies Trick Today, reader LizaJane suggests:

"Put a bit of fabric softener in a spray bottle (I use discarded body spray bottles), fill with water and give a few sprays here and there to beds, curtains, sofas, etc. Your home will smell so clean and fresh and you save money because fabric spray tends to be expensive."

Thanks, LizaJane!
