What does a home reveal about the person who lives there? A few weeks ago, I wondered, if people resembled their homes. Photographer Michael Mundy has devoted a whole website to pondering this question. In his blog and project An Afternoon With…, stylists, artists, interior designers and more, invite Michael into their homes for an afternoon.

Caught by Mundy, in the golden light of an intimate and revealing afternoon, these photos capture how people live and interact in their spaces. The knick knacks they collect, the chairs they prefer to sit in, what they wear when they're in the space that's most comfortable and familiar to them and where they're most vulnerable.

A photographer's home is spare and composed, ready for a shoot; here's an illustrator's chaotic workspace or a couple's cozy intimacy.
