There's a lot of tile in this world that isn't of the plain, white subway variety (and it has some great history, too). Case in point, this handy alphabetized list from the Wall Street Journal of some of the most beautiful tile styles to try next. These are so gorgeous we had to share. Here's a taste.

In case you're wondering, the image above features B for botanical, L for layered, M for mosaic and C for cruciform. Now, let's check out some more.
