We used our third bedroom as part-time office, part-time boys' room. However, we never used the office part, and the desk that was in there was just a clutter catcher.
We ended up moving the desk out, breaking up the trundle into two single beds and enlivening the gray+yellow color scheme with pops of bright green and red, plus art by my husband, Taylor. The result, a bright kid-friendly space for Taylor's boys when they come to visit.
Thanks Molly! Readers, see more of this room on The Nesting Game.

Love the bright green drawers!
The Pac Man pillows are great.
Love the pac man pillow. I bet the boys feel more included and important now that they have a space devoted entirely to them.
Good Job!
p.s. Love the Art too!
Where did you find the blue striped pillow?!
I love this. Especially the bright green dressers, the Zombie sign, and the pacman pillows.
This is so well done and really unique. Love it.
I love this room! That tall piece of art and Pac Man pillows are great. I really like the use of grays and whites with the bright color.
Thanks AT Family for featuring an older child's room. Keep 'em coming. The transitions from nursery to toddler to big kid to teen rooms are just as inspirational and fun to look at. Especially as my baby makes his way through those stages.
Awesome space. Nice job.
Thanks, everyone for the great comments! It's a really fun space, I'm glad you like it!
@JCAP4203, do you mean the gray euro sham? I'm not totally sure what you're referring to, but that one is a Nicole Miller sham from the Bed Bath and Beyond clearance rack. The other gray sham is from West Elm. The white roll pillow is from Target, as are the yellow sheets.
Where can such a long and simple bolster pillow be found? I've been looking for one to span the width of a twin-zed bed. Thanks!
Is your son's name really Blue? haha
Paint color, pretty please?
Wow! I have the dresser that matches those drawers under the TV and painted it exactly the same color for my son's room. What a fantastic room!
To answer a few questions:
The Pac Man pillows are from a store called Homegrown in Decatur, GA. The paint color is Dolphin Fin by Behr. And the white bolster is from Target, several years ago. I think it is a bit longer than the width of a twin bed, however.
Thanks again for the great feedback!
