Today over at Apartment Therapy Chicago, we were able to get a peek at the home of Beth and Nick who reside in Columbus Ohio. We were pleasantly surprised to find their home office with a huge partner desk, a fireplace and out in the open on the main floor of their home.

Now we can't lie, we love partners desks, but more than that, we love seeing a workspace that's not only functional, but not hidden away where it can't really be used. In our own home we have a home office that is very on display for our visitors to see, but stuffing everything into a closet just isn't our style and it wasn't for Beth and Nick either.

Because their office is on the main floor and staged in the room next to the dining room and living areas, it's been well decorated, designed and makes good use of the space. Although this is a home office, at first glance, it doesn't really look like it. Since the furniture is pulled away from the walls and the middle of the room has been used, it allows traffic to flow in and out while those working away into the wee hours of the night can still feel like part of the family — and not outcast to a room somewhere else in the house away from all the action.

Take the full tour of their space to feel the rest of their household vibe over at Apartment Therapy Chicago.

We love the look, but could you have your office on display with this much enthusiasm? Let us know in the comments below!
