Well-Traveled Style in a Classic Boston Apartment

Well-Traveled Style in a Classic Boston Apartment

Name: Elijah
Location: Spring Hill — Somerville, Massachusetts

I live in a one bedroom apartment in a large building built in 1935. I was drawn to the original details, like the steam radiators and clawfoot tub and I think my apartment provides the perfect blank slate for my style—an eclectic mix that draws inspiration from New England as well as the places I love to visit, like Stockholm and Berlin.

The pegboard in the kitchen was a headache to put up, but I'm so glad I did. It's one of my favorite parts of my home.

My apartment is in the southwest corner of the building, so it gets great light in the afternoon and evening, and the bedroom has great views of Harvard Square (and the Boston skyline if you really crane your neck).

Thanks, Elijah !
