We've told you the best way to organize your drawers and even some great drawer organizing solutions, but today we're going to let you in on a pair of items that were made in drawer organizing heaven: IKEA's Helmer drawer unit and the Container Store's melamine drawer organizers. After the jump we'll let you know why this pair works so perfectly together.
IKEA's Helmer drawer unit is an excellent choice for your home office. The 6-drawer metal structure rests on small casters for easy mobility. For $40 it is quite a deal compared to similarly formatted drawers such as Bisley's drawer systems retailing for $200.
The Container Store makes the drawer organizers in a strong black melamine. They come in 5 different sizes and are also stackable. And at a highly affordable price point ranging from $.99-$2.99, they're buyer friendly and easy to purchase in bulk.
Now, the reason why we love these two products together is because they literally fit perfectly in one another. Due to the modular nature of the organizers, you can arrange them exactly as you'd like in your Helmer drawers and they'll fit perfectly every time. Additionally, stacking them two-high still fits perfectly in the drawer. We really can't find anything wrong with this combo. We've filled them with pushpins, paperclips, pens, pencils, index cards, wallet, keys, business cards, etc… Thanks to these two highly affordable products, you'll be able to create a stylish organizational system with a highly customized look on a very small budget.
Lastly, as an added bonus, we tried our luck at fitting these in the Alex drawer unit that we use for art supplies. Although the fit isn't as perfect as the Helmer drawers, we figured it was good enough to mention. We were left with about a 4" space in the width of the drawer and a 2" space in the depth.
