While touring a Baltimore home earlier this summer, I found myself admiring two metal planters mounted on a wall in the bedroom. My host, Jane, explained that she had made them herself and without much trouble.

I was impressed with Jane's inexpensive, metal take on Woolly Pockets. She explained that she used sheet metal, which she cut with tin snips and then bent. She created linings from old plastic bags, which hold dirt and water in place for her hardy spider plants.

Interesting but it seems like I have seen something similar that would work and cost less.
However, I am much more interested in finding out where the square lamp on the night table can be found? I am looking for something like that myself.
Would love a tutorial on this, since it doesn't seem intuitive to me.
The square lamp is from IKEA.
