We've always thought it'd be nice to have a listening station set up right beside the couch. We never thought it'd be very practical in application, though. Well, that's until we scoped out this hot little setup by Steve over at IKEA hacker.
By using the ever ubiquitous FROSTA side table from IKEA, Steve turned it into a double-decker headphone station with integrated lighting and wire management.
Other parts include a Antifoni Work Lamp, angle brackets (x4) and cord tidies. The lower shelf, from a second FROSTA stool is secured into place using the angle brackets, one for each leg.
For the headphone stands, they're a couple of sweet lookin' Sieveking Sound Omega headphone stands that fit just perfectly with the IKEA design aesthetic.

If you're going to spend $180 on a (beautiful) headphone stand, why would you prop it up with some tacky Ikea garbage?
Give your Grado PS-1000's the space they deserve with an Eames wire shelf and Lytegem or Anglepoise.
