That is it! Our next house simply must have a slide. There's just too much fun going on that we could be partaking in. No longer will the local park tide our appetite for these slippery slopes! Walking down the stairs is so last year and this home in Indonesia just sealed the deal.
The three boys that live in this home in Indonesia not only have cool concrete stairs to travel up and down, but also this sweet slide that actually goes on the outside of their home. It starts on the second floor up near the boys bedrooms and comes down into the kitchen. What better way to come down for breakfast than via slide in your pjs?!
You can check out the full tour of this home over at Dezeen, but for now we'll just sit back and dream about building a slide... maybe two, we're not sure how crazy it'll get, but mark out words — it's happening!

Z2 iPod Dock and Wi...
this is real cool, but i don't like the idea of sliding down concrete. Not smooth enough for me
This concrete looks very smooth.... I imagine they'd have made it "slide worthy".
Great idea though! So much fun for kids (and kids-at-heart!)
Fantastic idea ;)
Oh yes. This is definitely going into the "when I build my dream home" file.
Who thinks of stuff like that...amazingly creative.
This could only be made more perfect by adding a ball pit at the bottom of the slide.
OK, this is sick, and I'm sorry, but I read "ball pit" as "Pit Bull" ... "ball pit" sounds fun ...
A friend of mine worked at a California Internet startup that had a slide from one of the higher floors into the lobby. Pretty sure they tanked in the bust though.
What a great idea! Unfortunately, in America pouring all that concrete would cost thousands of dollars.
It makes me scared :(
My office has a slide. I actually just slid down it this morning. That house slide looks fun as well!
Yes, I WILL have a slide inside my next home. And if my kids are grown and out of the house by then, there's always the grandkids!
Everythingistaken, do you work at google?
Wow! That could be used as a laundry shoot and for removing anything you didn't want to carry downstairs. You could probably hide in it too if anyone broke in the house. Who needs toys when you have a slide in your house?
okay what if in a game room where there is a loft and an "overlook" of sorts you installed the bouncy part of a trampoline over the space? I know, seriously scary to think of the liability for the overnight sleepovers, but seriously, how stinking cool would that be?
uhm, wasn't the place with the slide google? I'm pretty sure they haven't gone bust...at least not since I last checked 20 minutes ago!
:)
