When rooms are tucked up in attics, the sloped ceilings can make them feel cramped, low and limiting...which is the last way you want to feel in a creative space. This attic studio, however, takes the attic and makes it into something special.
Over at the design blog Hemidemisemiquaver, Becky Oehlers has created a light, lofty, inspiring studio space in a room where sloping ceilings nearly touch the floor. Built-in shelves store supplies across the entire A-shaped wall, and the symmetrical layout of a work table centered on the gable window makes things feel orderly and architectural. Colors are kept light and bright with whites and pale blue.
