Peter Klinkert of IKEA came all the way from Sweden to be the headliner for our March Maker Talk (formerly know as Design Evenings). It was our biggest event yet, with standing-room only. We're huge fans here at Apartment Therapy and you know we love a good hack, so it was so great to hear from Peter about his story, his inspiration, and all his years working for IKEA. Wondering if his home is filled with IKEA products? Spoiler Alert: it is.

About: "Peter is the head of special collections worldwide at IKEA of Sweden. He was born in Hamburg and has a masters degree in wooden science and technology. He has worked for IKEA since 1988, starting with in-store kitchen sales. He now leads the development and worldwide implementation of IKEA’s brand statement collections. Peter believes in smart craftsmanship and constantly challenges accepted ideas of quality, design and price.
