Guest: Susan Feldman and Alison Pincus
Company: One Kings Lane
Hometown: Los Angeles and San Francisco

About: "When One Kings Lane launched in 2009, it was the result of the dedication, drive and vision of two female entrepreneurs. And ironically, it coincided with the worst economic downturn in US history since the Great Depression. Susan Feldman, who’d spent her career as a senior sales executive in the New York City fashion world, had recently moved to LA. After years of apartment living, she was passionately decorating her new house, and facing a challenge: finding the time, inspiration, and guidance she coveted given her busy schedule – at price points that were equally inspirational!

At the same time, in San Francisco, Alison PIncus was also ready for an entrepreneurial venture. Professionally involved in the web from a business-development and content-production perspective since her college graduation, she was an avid design enthusiast who frequently blogged about new lifestyle trends she was spotting. After working for larger media companies for more than a decade, she was ready to launch a company of her own.

Susan and Alison recognized a void that they wanted to fill: There was no exciting, curated destination where consumers could shop, get inspired, find their favorite home and lifestyle brands, and discover new ones"
