A Home Office in a Hallway

How do you fit a computer workstation, a small library of books, and your files into an entry hall? Click below to find out... This entryway closet has been repurposed into a functional workspace. Overhead lights and a sliding door make the space feel less like a closet and more like an office, a corner desk takes up a sliver of space, and there's just enough room left over for a chair, some wall shelves, and a bulletin board. This photo comes from the Raumplus closet company, a German manufacturer of sliding doors. Like most catalog photos, it's a very staged shot, but it offers a lot of ideas for designing a home office in a small space. Our favorite detail is the ceiling shelves, which incorporate under-shelf lighting to illuminate the doorway and closet. For more information, visit Raumplus online. Photos: Raumplus
