My inability to choose good room colors is my biggest shortcoming as a home DIY guy. I can hang sheetrock, create custom trim and turn a cool old window into a transom for above the door. But when it comes time to choose colors, leave me out of it. Any help I can get is appreciated, and when it is as easy as answering a few seemingly random, non color-related questions, all the better.
I'm not sure how the songs expecting parents plan to sing to their baby can help determine the proper color choices for their nursery but it seems Glidden has figured this out. They have a tool called 'My Baby's Place' that asks five multiple choice questions. By assigning certain colors to specific answers it generates a custom color palette tailored to fit your style. I tried it out and found it sort of fun. Sure, it's a bit gimmicky and the movie tie-in associated with it is sort of lame, but in the end it offered up some pretty interesting color choices for my consideration. Whether you are a color guru or clueless like me, give it a spin and let us know what you think.

I tried this just for fun and found it mystifying. It puts both the colors you click AND the colors you don't in a drop-down box, which means you wind up with a bunch of random colors put together instead of a useful palette.
I too tried it for fun but it just seems a way to push certain colors....a limited number of colors kept showing up for whatever the answer was and unfortunately, none that appealed to me.
