When they moved into their new Portland home, thespians Richard Rolfe and Stephen Rutledge put their skills to work on the interior and exterior. One project was to create an outdoor living space sheltered by a large old tree in the back yard...
The "room" was defined with old shutters and other salvaged materials from The ReBuilding Center. This backyard getaway is now a favorite for cocktail parties and relaxing under the giant (though purely decorative) chandelier.

Fred Sanford would like it!
I love the old garage door, it's wonderful.

WANT.
I like this, but it looks like more of an outdoor bedroom than a living room. There's only furniture for 2-3 people sit on during a cocktail party unless I'm missing something
Looks like this one was just posted yesterday as well... Different content and author, same people & design. I guess this is a popular one for making it to both OregonLive & The Oregonian!
I like the garage door but I probably would have made it parallel with the other doors and such, to make it less of a "room." I guess I'm not really wild with the idea of an outdoor room as much as an outdoor sitting space.
Yes, this was indeed the second post on this subject in as many days. There was also a recent double-posting re the surprise renovation of the teenage girl's bedroom while she was away at camp ... is there no way to avoid these repetitions?
