Everyone has a person on their list who is nearly impossible to shop for, and since no one has yet invented a Santa letter interception service, coming up with ideas can be tedious and cumbersome. While a Google search might be my first start, I've actually had some help this season from an unexpected place.
Pinterest! A Pinterest search has been my secret holiday weapon.
Here's my formula for success:
RELEVANT INTEREST OF RECIPIENT + "GIFT" = VISUAL SHOPPING WIN.
Here are some recent searches that resulted in actual purchases for my friends and family:
- Beard gifts
- Doctor Who gift
- Public radio gift
It makes total sense that this would work. Heck, how many times have I made an impulse purchase because of a pin that came across my feed? (Way more times than I care to admit...) Have you ever used Pinterest for finding gifts? What tricks have you found worked best?
