Name: Ana & Daniel
Location: Bowery/LES — New York, New York
Three flights up from the Bowery on New York’s Lower East Side, Ana and Daniel’s sunlit, airy loft soothes the design-minded soul. Upon entering this crisp, lovely space of vast windows and wood floors, high design, breezy paper lanterns and white linen cushions, one forgets the din and soot of the Chinatown streets below.
Here is an old movie theater seat by Jean Prouvé, there is a MEIER/FERRER sofa of Ana’s own design. The ample windows and high ceilings more than make up for the modest bedroom and bathroom. And, while Ana and Daniel don’t plan to renovate, they do hope to find a solution for shading all those windows – and are enjoying the light in the meantime.

Nomade Express Slee...
I love the paper laterns, large window and white couches from the first picture. Beautifully done.
Where are the paper lanterns from?
So jealous of that natural light & your floors!
P.S. Do you guys rent or own?
where is that sofa/sidetable combo from? obsessed!
Falaenderio, it is from http://www.meierferrer.com/
Go into collection and click R Gormley, at first I didn't recognize it to be the same, but when you look closer it is the same couch
Awwww, who is that cutie in the last picture? Too cute.
I second a house tour!
so airy and light! where is that vanity table/desk from in the third picture?? I love it!
Looks fantastic. Love that sofa/daybed/sidetable thing. House tour please!!!
Harpa
really simple and beautiful. for those of you who don't know ana is the daughter of the famous architect richard meier who has designed some great bldgs, including the High Museum, the Getty Center, and the Barcelona Museum of Contemporary Art. her furniture design is a lot like father's, featuring straight lines, simplicity, and the use of white.
Ditto the paper lanterns! A casual, fun touch for the serious (and quite authentic-looking) mid-century bohemian elegance. Cute puppy!
I third a House Tour~!
House tour would be nice
Here an affection, there some pretensions.
I think we've seen the main story here: space, the windows and light.
A house tour is unnessary. Twenty vignettes of the lanterns iwll just not be that interesting. The text suggests that the other rooms are unremarkable, and I believe it.
Would love to see full tour.
Love the vanity mirror vanity shot, which adds such context. Which Jersey Shore cast member is that?
