The notable writer, Anais Nin, who was as famous for her diaries and female erotica as she was with her rendovous with Henry Miller [The movie Henry and June was losely based off of her writings] also was a Silver Lake resident in later life until her death in 1977. Nin's home with her husband Rupert Pole was designed by his brother Eric Lloyd Wright [his first design in 1962] The Los Angeles Times currently has a home photo tour of their beautiful 1 bedroom Arts and Crafts home available for viewing in their Home & Garden section.
